I'm not sure why these tiny BT adapters are getting such rave reviews. All the ones I've tried (3 of them so far) have had terrible range. I tested this adapter with my new Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones. I have a Bluetooth adapter in a powered USB 3.0 hub on my desk. 3 meters from my head. Even if I turn my head away from the adapter, the connection breaks. I can barely use my BT mouse either. I ended up having to switch it back to the included radio adapter. And I'm sure it's not just my devices because when I connect the same headphones to my phone or laptop with built-in BT, I can use them around the house with no sound quality issues.
