I tried a Pennzoil brand tool and it slipped right out of the filter. I'm not sure which monkey pulled on it last, but this sturdy tool gripped the filter cap with confidence. I used a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter and a 1/2" breaker. Finally got the damn filter removed. When you're done changing the oil, for goodness sake please use a torque wrench and pull it out with 25 Nm (18 ft*lbs) according to specification.
