Review on πŸ“‘ Larsen NMO150-450-800: The Ultimate Tri-Band NMO Antenna for Powerful Reception by Jim Acquista

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The antenna arrived, the base spring is broken and there are 3 pieces in the package.

I used to buy Larsen antennas and found them to be very good quality, but this antenna was very cheap and had a poorly soldered spring that was chipped with flux paste stains on the broken spring and plastic base. I only noticed the missing spring when installing the antenna and had problems with SWR and poor reception. When I examined the base there was a ball of flux coated solder in the center that didn't look right and when I checked the packaging I found metal parts inside - a waste of money.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Mounted on the roof of my SUV, antenna receives very well for my Uniden SDS100.
