Works as intended but has a small caveat

Great value if you are looking to fit a double desk in your Dodge. I have a 2007 Ram 1500 ST and with a little work it was easy to install. You will need masking tape, a pencil and a dremel with the sanding cylinder set on low speed. Tape it to prevent chipping of the factory paint on the panel, mark lines 1/8" from the edge and take your time to remove the plastic. You can always remove more, you can't add anything back Pros: Looks clean Matches factory paintwork Matches my Kenwood DNX692 navigation box snugly with no bezel adapter Cons: I got rid of the top pocket Requires a tool you may not have and skills you may not be familiar with are if you're not used to a Dremel. You can't go back to a supper. Once you've trimmed that rod and shaved your sides, you're ready for a double supper. It has very little play around the edges, but once it in place you will never notice; you would consider it just another "trim break". The included wiring harness is attached WRONG. To ver you will need to remove the red and orange wires and route them near the top row of speaker wires (use your truck's wire harness as a reference). What isn't included or mentioned is that you need a separate Metra or Scoche device to communicate with the Chryser anti-theft system. If you try to bypass it and simply connect the two yellow wires together, this is a "faulty" radio and will not work.

  • Electronics
Cons
