Review on πŸ”οΈ Mountain House Biscuits & Gravy: Premium Freeze-Dried Camping Food for Backpacking, Survival, and Emergencies by Mike Pearson

Great taste, questionable texture

Cookies and Sausage Sauce. What's not to like? Mountain House cookies and gravy have just the right flavors, but some people might find their texture off-putting. The sausage pieces are a bit chewy and the cookie/sauce consistency is like pasta. Luckily that doesn't bother me and I liked this breakfast pack. I followed the instructions on the back of the box exactly and that's how it came out. Next time I'll add another 1/4 cup of water for more sauce. Also, I will add some pepper. The taste of this pack is really amazing. I won't hesitate to pack this on all hikes. Other Mountain House packages are usually labeled as 2 servings, but in fact they can be eaten by one person. This pack says it serves 3 and this pack really means it. I had 1 portion and I was so full. There was no way I could do it myself. This is another great scent that I will pack in my emergency kit or take with me. I had to deduct a star for the imperfect texture but this is a really good sublimated product.
