Review on Red Line Transmission Transaxle Lubricant by Junior Andreano

This product is amazing! I have been a sports car enthusiast for 30 years during which time I have owned many high performance cars and have been in the automotive industry for 20 years. I used to live by the rule that they weren't a chemical solution to mechanical problems, but this gear oil did just that in my situation. I bought a 2007 Civic Si a little over a year ago just to have something sportier for city driving and also to be reliable (Honda ;)). I found out that the 3rd gear synchro in these cars is notorious for its problems and there was even a service bulletin from Honda that recommended replacing the synchro in the transmission which takes about 12 hours of work. I have always used synthetic oil in my cars and after researching gear oil I came across Red Line and also read some reviews from other Si owners who said this product solved their 3rd gear problems. Well I tried it and yes it solved that particular problem! This is also the first time I've used synthetic gear oil in a gearbox and I can say it's nothing short of an amazing difference when it comes to shifting between all gears! With the exception of an issue with 3rd gear on a 6 speed Honda I had no problems prior to the oil change and there was only slight resistance when shifting. Almost no resistance after replacement! Soft as silk when shifting. I would highly recommend Red Line to any car enthusiast and although as I said it solved my sync problems, this product is not a magic bullet for all transmission problems. Next time I will be changing the manual transmission fluid in my 525hp Red Line muscle car.
