Don't waste your time and money

It can't handle many sheets of paper at once. Maybe 2 if I'm lucky. Forget cards or heavy envelopes. It feels like the grip is loosening with every twist. It is difficult to turn over more than 2 sheets of paper. The lid doesn't have a latch so it keeps popping open when sanding. While most shredders don't have this locking mechanism, this unit does need it as the shredder head is quite heavy due to all the metal gears and cutters and it has a tiny lightweight catch bucket so it's really unbalanced. If you don't keep your hand up when cranking, you're sure to knock over the trash can and make a mess. Don't use a credit card cutter, it cuts them but doesn't cross them. Dude, I bought this thing to sort the mail before it piles up in my house. I see it as a waste of time and money. It is what it is, but it's not an efficient way to shred paper. This is more of a novelty than a worthy office device. Sorry to turn it down, but it just isn't impressive and I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not bad
