Review on High Performance Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor: Height Adjustable, 240Hz, Full HD 1920X1080P - AW2518Hf by Matt Blatz

I play a lot of Apex Legends and this monitor is a huge upgrade over the previous Acer 120hz I used. You'll see further improvements as you move from 60Hz to 144Hz. I didn't notice such a dramatic jump to 240Hz, but the picture quality on this monitor is amazing. It looks better than my LG monitor which I spent a lot more money on. I didn't do any complex calibration with this monitor, I preset it to Game 1 and it's great. I'm sure you could do an extra calibration if you really wanted to, but this is perfect for me. Another note: there is a parameter called Response Speed. Leave this value at "normal". It looks like you want to increase this to "super fast", but that's a misleading setting. This has to do with how quickly the pixels on the monitor change color. I've found that exceeding "normal" causes significant haloing in Apex Legends and isn't necessary. Normal response time is what you need. Qualitatively, there is no edge blur like I saw on my previous older Acer monitor. The stand is really cool. The matte screen is great. I really like how they designed this monitor and I'm glad I bought it. See you in the arena!
