Review on 📷 Universal Outdoor Camera Sun Rain Shade Cover Shield - SDS DS-1250ZJ by Theresa Brown

I bought this for my Hikvision ColorVu camera to protect it from the sun and rain. That's a lot of money for just one piece of plastic! My main issue is that my camera has a 2.8mm lens (wide angle) so I had to move the screen around the camera a lot so it doesn't interfere with the view at the edges, which drastically reduces the intended protective purpose of the camera. Even after raising the shield, I was still blinded by the camera's built-in light because the edge of the shield is white. I fixed it with black plastic and exterior spray paint ($5). Also, the included screws aren't stainless steel, so I had to buy new hardware, which cost another $1.50. This screen will probably work best with a 4mm (probably 6mm) focal length lens and above, but you'll probably still need to paint the inside of the screen black if you plan to use the lights on camera. Another issue is that the spiders have officially made this cubby their new home, so removing the web from the lens will be a challenge.
