Advantages: Easy connection to the recovery tank for rinsing. The ends are good, strong and twist easily. The bright color helps me use the same hose for the black water tank every time and not confuse it with the drinking water tank. He is durable. Cons: It's quite stiff and gets harder when it's cold. Unrolling and rolling up when cold is very cumbersome. I need it to fold up and fit into a small space and that doesn't happen - probably due to its strength/durability. In hindsight, a real rubber hose would probably be easier to handle than this reinforced one. I bought a real collapsible hose. for my drinking water tank and folds up into a small space - easy to handle, store and use. But these collapsible hoses don't come in different colors and I don't want to risk swapping out the black water hose for a drinking water hose, so I'll stick with this sturdy orange. I would buy it again if I couldn't find a more flexible hose that is just as durable.
