Review on ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Omega Universal 2 Reel Film Developing Tank for Enhanced SEO by Jeff Westra

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A very capable evolving tank!

The Omega processing tank is a replica of an old Paterson tank in the same style. The Omega Universal Reservoir is only slightly larger, but its drums can be used with both older and newer Paterson System reservoirs, and Paterson drums can also be used with this reservoir. As several reviewers here and other online review sites have found out about these tanks, they leak. They leak because a lot of people invert tanks quite violently (reverse evolution), which can cause leaks if the gaskets (o-ring and top cap gasket) are loose. Although inversion expansion seems to be taught, this is not always the best method. Even the best products have their quality control issues and even my same style Paterson tanks and newer tanks leak. I don't use the inversion method. So it seems like a lot of people need to rethink how they process movies. I develop 35/120/3x4 and 4x5 film in two rolls. I don't invert. These tanks are very powerful in their design. I use both the old and new Paterson systems and these Omega tanks. The o-rings between the tank and the caps will eventually leak but this should be considered normal, an important key to this as some have found is that the cap is installed securely, correctly and securely. Don't overtighten. Developing films is not difficult, but it will take a little time to understand what is best for you. Read books online and talk to others who are making their own film.
