I ordered a size up from my child's clothing size and it fits my 5 year old just right. Probably mostly in the way it hugs the torso, it just fits and it's not particularly thick at all. As he's kinda perfect for him now instead of being big and then living another year it's fine and he'll still work for us for him and then for subsequent children. I would say order at least one size up to plan ahead. If you choose the appropriate size, this is a really great offer. The quality, design, thickness and construction are exactly the same as any other mall fleece you can get. He likes the color lapis lazuli blue - I would say it's a good shade for a unisex jacket that suits both boys and girls and will later become a good wardrobe item. There are pockets. He is very soft. Overall I would recommend it.
