I don't know why what I got didn't work. They certainly looked compatible, but never took a charge. I might have had an error under 10,000. But when I scoured the reviews I found that there is a small switch inside the headphones that you have to press to charge the batteries. That's why they're packed in this black case. One reviewer taped his switch. Another disassembled Sony's battery case and put rechargeable batteries inside. I took an old credit card and cut a piece of plastic that fit between the switch and the battery, and now I have rechargeable batteries on hand. These batteries can work for you. My method isn't cheaper considering the price of the batteries I had at home, but they were here and it was midnight.
