Review on CURT 45500 Forged 2 Inch Receiver by Anthony Robichaud

This was dispatched very quickly and came in a nice sealed box. It's reliable and will work for you. Some say it's loose in the receiver and rattles on the road, true, it's loose and really rattles. I took duct tape and wrapped it around the area that goes in so you can't see the duct tape and it tightened up nicely for me. As for the finish, I didn't have time to comment, but if it's fading I know where to get a can of black paint. In the F150 photo, the hook protrudes 7 inches from the bumper. I like it when it sticks out because I tend to come back to things from time to time so it's easy on my bumper. UPDATE: It's been 9 months since I put this on my truck and the glossy shine of the paint has faded a bit but it hasn't rusted, the paint hasn't peeled. Using a chain with it can scratch or chip the surface. Belts are ok.
