There is some hope for recovery because a few dead and wrongly flashed routers were successfully revived. These are some advantages: dependable work product. It has been operating for over a year in various offices (10–20 users), and they haven't really let me down. The DD-WRT firmware transforms a standard router into a useful tool for a system administrator by opening up a lot of possibilities that were not even mentioned in the standard one. Cons: There may be some for this model that I have not noticed. Of course, there are things you could want, like a USB port or gigabit port support, but for the price, the device more than justifies itself.
