I bought them when my daughters were all getting bunk beds and their cats got used to sleeping with them and started waking them up at night to help and I also wanted that they are safer there descent. They work great! I think they are also perfect for small spaces because the footprint is very small but the tension gives it stability. Here are a few things. one. You sent me the wrong color. But I could probably return it but I needed it so everything was fine. Also, if you have a very nervous cat, she may not like how much she shakes when she climbs on you. I have a cat that has been homeless for 10 years and this is too much for her. But other cats got used to it as soon as they noticed it. I'm sure even a nervous cat can adjust with enough encouragement and reassurance, it might not be love at first sight. They're not super heavy, the carpet is cheap, but they're also very affordable, so don't expect everything to be top quality. It's absolutely perfect for what I need and I think I might buy more because I like a small footprint for my tiny house! I've added a photo of the first time one of our cats climbed it. He didn't really understand it at first, but he really liked it from the start.
