Review on πŸ’§ HydraPak Seeker - Expandable Water Storage Bag - Non-toxic, Camping Hydration Reservoir for Outdoor Adventures by Michael Baird

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extra safety and extra litres!

Just finished a two day hike on the Laurel Highland Trail in western Pennsylvania. I was looking for something that could hold extra liters to filter through my Katadyn BeFree Gravity Filter and then found it actually fit the filter! Found this used as new for $14 at Revain and it arrived unused. On the first and second night, both water pumps in the shelters were not producing enough water, allowing me to draw water from local streams through Hydrapak's wide opening. I took it with me and liked the fact that I could filter 3 liters (Katadyn) for my camel and had another 3 liters (Hydrapak) to filter for the shelter to drink. Do I have to have both at the same time? no However, I had friends with me, so I had water to share with them while they waited for their iodine tablets to work. I used a hanging strap from my Katadyn, attached a Katadyn filter and hose and was easily able to hang the Hydrapak securely using one of the fixings on the packaging. The package easily rolls up when not in use. The screw cap also fits my Katadyn reservoir. difficult conditions. I like it! Love the fact that I can freeze it for another use, especially when traveling. Finally, I made a baking soda paste and washed the inside before using. I didn't notice any aftertaste after filtering the water from Hydrapak. Highly recommended!
