Review on 🌵 Hydréa London Professional Dry Body Brush: FSC Certified Beechwood for Exfoliating Scrub, Cellulite Reduction, and Lymphatic Drainage with Natural Cactus Bristle by Erin Wright

LOVE those stiff bristles - not for novice drybrushers or for sensitive areas!

I have been dry brushing for about 2 years. Not necessarily because I think it gets rid of cellulite or gives me good qi or anything, but because it's AMAZING and helps my dry skin. I started with the bass brush I bought from Whole Foods - bristles 1/2 inch long (I think), vegetable/cactus bristles, fairly soft and flexible. It worked out well, at least I thought so. I wanted to try a stiffer bristle. After reading a few reviews I decided on the Hydrea Firm/Extra Firm as I had a $25 gift card from Achievemint and the item was only $24.99. First, it arrived two weeks ahead of schedule. , straight from the UK, right in the middle of the Christmas hustle and bustle - pretty cool! The first thing I noticed? The thing is really well done! The bristles are about 1 inch long, dense and tightly packed, and the strap is wide and firmly attached to the wood base. The bristles don't play much so I knew I was going to have an experience. This brushing hurts, but in the sense that it "hurts really good". For example foam massage or sports massage. When I first used them, after 2+ years of using the Bass body brush, I could SEE dead skin cells coming off my legs (disgusting!). The feeling was tingly and almost hot, but good. I made long movements with my legs and circular movements with my torso. I'll admit that the stiff bristles were almost too painful for my upper body, so I'll either have to go harder or maybe leave my bass brush for more sensitive areas. My skin was pink but almost itchy like all the blood had rushed to the surface or like it will itch like hell when you first work out after not working out in ages. After the shower, my skin became incredibly smooth and gorgeous! All in all I still love this brush. I would have given 5 stars but had to dock 1 because this brush really isn't for more delicate/tender skin.
