Discussion about men's shoes that I buy. The Mephisto is in a class of its own, especially in the sneaker category. I don't think you can compare it to other brands. They are so perfectly comfortable and they look amazing. Very elegant. Before I started buying them, nobody cared about my shoes or sneakers. Now people stop me and ask me what I'm wearing. I prefer the non-suede ones but I wear them with no problem. They are made in Portugal and are very well finished. These are not cheap shoes or sneakers but I think they are worth the price. If you go to Mephisto's website, you might get confused and buy a sneaker called "Allrounder". They are made in Vietnam and cost about 50% less. They look like Mephisto and are actually lighter. I would say the all rounders aren't bad but you will feel a difference in comfort over the European made Mephisto product.
