Yes I know the first thing that comes to mind is too expensive. When you buy something that really works and works as it should, the price is reasonable. not 16 gauge, whatever the reason for the typo or publicity stunt, they have a much bigger and better wire than most cables. I mean, you don't need 10 gauge cable on an XLR cable, use it as a towline for goodness sake! You can search long and hard and even pay $40-$50 for other cables that don't work any better than this one. However, be aware of different cables for different applications.
