Strong, Durable, Perfect Fit, Driver Complaint

Product appears solid and well made. Fits the bike well. Initially, it was bought for the trunk and for the convenience of the passengers. Just below the seatback, where the luggage rack meets the seatback supports, is metal sticking out that digs into the rider's back. My kids don't care but it seems to hurt and cause problems for the passengers. See photo.
