Review on Men's Puma Ignite Peacoat Gold Puma White Shoes and Athletic Footwear by Aaron Villanueva

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Surprising Performer - UPDATED IN 2 1/2 MONTHS

UPDATE: Unfortunately (and despite my early drying experience) the last few rounds I played the net was no longer waterproof and my socks were great over 3 holes wet round (especially in the toe area). It wasn't golf in the rain, it was just wet from last night. Too bad. I still wear these shoes around town because they are comfortable and I love the way they look. Aside from the dryness issue, I like how they behave on the track. Spring. You get what you pay for. -1 star from the original out of 4 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Due to previous questionable reviews, I wanted to wait a bit to review these shoes. However, yesterday made a deal for me! Granted I only played about 10 rounds of golf in these shoes so they have a YTBD lifespan, but I played in these shoes yesterday in the rain and mud after having 3.5 inches of rain in my area the day before. The field was muddy, wet and I was concerned that these shoes, which are cheaper than some of the best in the reviews, might not last. By the end of the loop, not only were my socks and feet dry to the bone, my feet felt great too! They evacuated like a champ and even though they weren't spiked, I didn't feel any slippage on any shot (tee or fairway). Based on other reviews it looks like the laces have a tendency to rip through the leather eyelets. I was fed up with it, so I was "careful" not to pull too hard for the first few rounds, but in the last few rounds I tested them for strength a little more. So far no problem. Anyway, I try to leave reviews that help other consumers, so here's the pros and cons reader's summary version This is one person's opinion, YMMV. Appearance: * Male - 6'2" - 185 lbs - Average Height 12 * Mid 50's * Golf 3-5 times a week (Handicap 12) * He had a variety of golf shoes from FootJoy and other popular brands. Pros * Comfortable ( eg super-wear-all-day-comfortable) * Looks great if you like sneaker vibes * Seems to do well in wet weather so far (UPDATE: They've been leaking for 2 months!) * Nice and cool on hot days *flexible mesh upper (see cons for same function) *lugless outsole offers good stability *fits this golfer's narrow foot but seems like it could be comfortable for a wider fit Some golfers may not have a good one Lateral stability (mesh upper is not the same as leather upper. Eyelets don't break) this is a great price for golf shoes. One star is off for the stability factor only.
