I have one of the clean/dirty reversible magnets on my dishwasher and I have a hard time prying it from the rim to flip it. When my octogenarian parents needed a clean/dirty sign for their new dishwasher, I knew I had to find another option. This is perfect - I chose green/red with a simple font. The status of the dishwasher is easy to see and because the sign stays stationary you don't have to worry about scratching the stainless steel surface as magnets have to be moved to change the display. It's also easy to adjust and flat enough that you can literally place it anywhere on the front of your dishwasher - even behind the handle if you like (at least if your dishwasher has a metal front). This is by far the best choice for older people – thanks to the large red-green display, you can see from the other side of the room whether the dishwasher needs to be emptied, even without glasses. No excuse for grandkids not to come and help!
