The only good thing I can say about this bar stool is that it is easy to assemble. That's all. If you are looking for something high quality this is not it! I wasn't expecting Ethan Allen for this price, but it's not good. I have a bespoke, very industrial dining table for ten and I was hoping they would fit - mainly because I need ten and the price was good :-) (should be a guide). I only ordered two to make sure they worked and my goodness I didn't order ten! I collected and admired it in 5 minutes. That ended the love affair. The seat is hard as a mountain, doesn't move at all, so for lack of a better description, just slide down and jump forward into the table. The calf bar is a great place if you're 5ft 8in or taller, otherwise your legs will be hanging in the air. As you slide forward, the metal rim/ring around the pad tucks into the back of your foot. , which is terrible. I can't sit in it for more than 5 minutes without my feet going numb and I don't have any deep dents in my legs. I can't even imagine the reverse process of delivering those spins.ugh.
