The item was a replacement for the original fan motor in my 2002 Infiniti I-35. Installation was easy after removing the glove box. My old fan made an awful noise from time to time and I ignored it. In any case, I put a fan in it, but it is also necessary to replace the resistor. The fan works as it should. However, the old fan cover does not fit on this model, which results in the fan motor being heard to spin at low speed. Once it gets higher, air noise means you can no longer hear the engine. Also, the tube that came with the kit was too flimsy and instead of bending into a nice arc and maintaining its diameter, it sort of folded. I used the original hose instead. I'm looking forward to breathing again.
