This lens grip is ok. .On the other side is a tiny flexible microfiber disk coated with a material that claims to remove smudges and fingerprints from my lens. However, there are a few things I don't like about this LensPen: 1. It's "awkward" to use - patience is required. When I'm on a shoot and need to brush off a stain very quickly, I'll pull out my camera bag, grab a pen and try to pull the brush out to brush off the dust/dirt. .Then I understand that with this lens I have to unscrew the pin (unlike Nikon) the cap from the side of the brush. Because the lid pops open and detaches (no strings), I can handle it with one hand. When I try to push the brush out with the little tab on the slider, it doesn't move (because you have to push down and then slide). never mind squeezes into its small canal so hard that my thumb just brushes across it - I don't catch it that easily - and it takes a lot of fumbling to pull the brush out. I juggle the camera and lens grip and put the cap back on. 2. Requires two hands to operate. Then I try to remove the cap from the working end of the lens tip - only to find that the cap doesn't pop out and doesn't come loose - it twists and unscrews. So I either have to put the camera down to fiddle with it (not always easy, when I'm outside in a remote location) or try to juggle the camera and lens grip so I can unscrew the cover.3. It doesn't work very well After the lid is off I try to clean the stains. However, the small microfiber disc just smears oil around fingerprints and smudges rather than wiping them away. I mean it kind of wipes things down, but upon closer inspection I see oily "trails" where the stylus and lens push through the fingerprints, and I have new round spots where the stylus left off. They need another solution to "fix" what this lens grip couldn't. To remedy the situation, I have to rummage through my camera bag, find a Nikon lens pen and clean up the mess, left by this "LensPen" lens pen. If I don't have a Nikon lens pen, I can use some very thin microfiber cloths. However, the small microfiber disc just smears oil around fingerprints and smudges rather than wiping them away.
