I recently hooked up two 100w solar panels and this inverter was used to power our RV to 120 volts. there was almost no tab left for mounting options so I placed mine in the front of the trunk under the bed as close to the batteries as possible. I bought 4 feet of 1/0 red and black wire and was able to cut 6 inches for a 3.5 foot length. I cannot stress enough the importance of keeping your wire short and using a large wire. And it will run on an 800W toaster. I never heard a fan or noise. Bravo! I need to find a longer cable for the remote control. RJ-10 phone jacks are hard to find. Otherwise, this inverter works quite well. I installed a 120 volt outlet next to the inverter. I simply plug the RV's shore power cable into the inverter to power the RV. Just make sure you turn off the converter/charger. My converter/charger is isolated by a single switch making it easy to turn off and since I have solar power I no longer need a converter/charger for most applications.
