Completely superfluous for a simple swing

Okay, so those things are definitely heavy. But, God! I still had to do some research. These things are too heavy for a simple kid's swing! These things could hold a whole class full of toddlers. Completely unnecessary for simple swings! Unless you're hanging a school bus full of kids on it, I'd recommend something simpler and a lot cheaper. They also don't come with screws to attach them to a tree like some other basic hook/swing kits. Just an additional purchase that will continue to offset the necessary expense of this easy toddler swing project.
