Honestly I'm impressed with how well this stuff works. I put a large piece of mopani wood in my little 10 gallon tank and of course it turned the water into tea. Water changes didn't help much. Throw a bag in the filter and leave it on overnight and the next morning the water will be absolutely crystal clear. Highly recommended if you have problems with tannin in your aquarium! Edit: After about 2 weeks the bag turned dark brown and I figured it was time to recharge it. I found a few videos on YouTube about the process. In general, rinse your bag well. Place in a bowl and cover with water. Then add an equal amount of regular unscented bleach (1:1 ratio). Leave it in a well-ventilated place where it will not be disturbed for at least 24 hours. Then discard the bleach solution and rinse the bags very well. Place the bag in a new container and fill it up with water. Then add 2 tablespoons of Seachem Prime or a similar product of your choice to each cup of water. Leave for another 24 hours (some only 8 or 12). Discard the solution and rinse the bag again. Make sure there is no bleach smell. I put mine back in a new container and added 1 tablespoon per cup of water solution to make sure it's safe. It's back in my filter right now and the fish are doing fine (I watched them carefully during the day after putting the bag back in). Excellent goods!
