Areas I like to camp in rarely have perfectly level campsites, so I've often slipped off my sleeping pad, or my entire sleeping system had shifted and I was pinned to the wall of the tent. I took this roll and cut it into 3 equal parts, 1 part goes between the sleeping bag and the pillow (there are 2 of us so it's 2 parts) and the third part goes between the bottom of the tent and the sleeping pillows at waist height . (Sleeping pillow and slip limiter form the letter H in their arrangement). This arrangement is usually very good at keeping us from slipping at night.
