Review on πŸƒ Fresh Tidepool Running Shoes by New Balance by Aaron Long

Incredibly comfortable casual shoes

I love comfortable sneakers and these fit perfectly. I have read and viewed several reviews on this shoe and everything that has been said is true. First, these sneakers are true to size. I haven't tried the various Fresh Foam Performance shoes, which this one really isn't, but more on that later, but the Fresh Foam on these shoes is incredibly soft. The foam is soft when walking but a bit firm when standing. The reason this shoe is not an athletic running shoe is because the upper offers no lateral support, the sock-like fit is comfortable but loose, and lets your foot slide at speed. The insole is a little too narrow in the midfoot for my liking, although I ordered a size 2E, which combined with the unstructured upper means your foot sometimes hits the inside edge when running. In addition, the plastic heel cup is not hard plastic, but a flexible TPU that offers no support. In short, despite Sadio Mane's cool video ads, don't expect them to be your next gym, training, or running shoe. Favorite aspect of the shoe: Aesthetics, cushioning, stretchy upper and a wonderful 6mm heel to toe drop, perfect for people like me who like shoes with little to no drop. how they advertise it. Also, VERY IMPORTANTLY, if you have INCREDIBLY large or chunky feet (think The Hobbit) you may have trouble putting your shoes on. The shoe has a tongueless boot design, the opening doesn't stretch and it doesn't have tongues (which is good for looks but bad for being able to wear them) so keep that in mind. They are much easier to put on than a pair of Puma Blaze of Glory, for example.
