Was skeptical about this product but my husband said he had heard good things about activated charcoal toothpaste in general so I gave it a try. Fair warning this is messy. The charcoal goes everywhere and if you use too much you get an almost medicinal taste in your mouth (make me hang myself). I would like to say positively, it seems to have increased the sense of cleanliness as we have used carbon toothbrushes before and I felt better with a regular toothbrush. I feel like it's gone a step further when it comes to plaque, but personally I prefer to only use charcoal toothbrushes. I feel like I get a pretty good brushing experience this way. I haven't used it with a regular toothbrush but because it's dirty I prefer not to use it. I'd say it's all a matter of personal preference, not that it would be difficult to remove later, it's just an issue for me. There is no taste if you use the right amount and your teeth will be cleaner afterwards. So overall not bad, just not for me.
