Review on πŸ‘“ NRS Lightweight Short-Sighted Glasses for Nearsightedness - Not Reading Glasses by Debra Depts

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very light but overall good

They are lighter and less durable (I think) than regular prescription glasses but I'm amazed and happy that it's an option! At the end of the day, my vision sometimes gets too blurry to drive or watch TV without squinting. They simply have to be at hand in such situations, which is why I didn't want to buy expensive glasses. HOWEVER, for people who need them on a daily basis and just can't pay hundreds of dollars right now, this will help you see how they work! I'm sure they're more fragile than a more expensive pair, but they can certainly help if you can't afford glasses or just need help from time to time. I used to buy a pair for -0.50 and sometimes that's all I need, but it was another unisex pair and the frame is too big. If I'm just sitting in one place, watching TV or driving it will work, but I wouldn't wear them in public because they are too loose. If you are a woman or a smaller person I would look for a female pair like this. This fits very well as it is small. Many years ago I worked for an ophthalmologist and later for two different opticians, each selling their own glasses. I'm glad it's an option, as is "reader". These are the opposite of readers, so don't buy them if you need them! If you don't know your prescription, you can bring your current glasses to an optician and have them read to you, or you can call and ask for a copy of your most recent prescription, even if it's too old to fill out. You're looking for "sphere or sphere" properties, not cylinder or axis (this is for astigmatism correction and doesn't help). I would look for the next numbers. This is probably a godsend for those who don't.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
