I bought these speakers from my local wholesaler many years ago and am pleased. At that time I already had a Bose 201 Series II and wanted to install a rear surround kit. They're very good for this purpose, probably not as good as the main speakers as the maximum output is only 80 watts and the high frequency response isn't good enough for most soundtracks or music. I ended up buying a 301 Series III set and gifting it to my parents. Fast forward ten years; At that point I had sold both the 301 and 201 and bought a set of '80s 901s. The used ones were happy with them musically but unhappy with their soundtrack. My parents had 100 and a set of 101 Series II music monitors that I bought them for their small surround sound system. So we traded 4 of these for my 901s. Now I have the 101st for main and 100th for surround sound at home, and the center channel is a Polk Audio CS-20. I just watched John Carter on Blu-ray and was very happy with the sound results. The 100s weren't messy and gave me precise effect detail, as close as I can get with speakers in this class. I would definitely recommend these as a surround sound rather than stereo set unless a low volume is required.
