I bought these earrings because I wanted a more comfortable earring for sleeping. I sleep on my side so even in stilettos with the backrest against my head if I'm not positioned properly and it drives me crazy. There are no problems with this. As many other reviewers have pointed out, you have to bend them to put them on. So don't buy them with the expectation that they will have to be worn and taken off daily - I believe repeated flexing can warp or possibly weaken the metal. I wear them day and night with no problems, but we'll see how they turn out when I swap them out for another pair for the first time. So far they're doing their job well - they're cute, comfortable, and don't cause a metal reaction in a few weeks of wearing them.
