Otherwise, if I do everything at the same time, they all flicker the same and look unnatural. After blinking, I press a button on the remote control to decrease the intensity of the light. This results in a longer service life and shorter charging cycles. The drop in brightness is negligible for a significantly longer battery life. Very happy with the purchase. I use it in a water feature/tealight combo and it makes a safe, beautiful, lasting addition to my home without the worries of fire hazards with actual tealights, especially for cats/dogs.
