Purchased ivory for bridesmaid gifts at a spring wedding on the California coast. All my research recommends more spikes for stronger winds, and pagodas keep popping up. I can confirm that this beautiful and unique pagoda can withstand heavy rain and wind and can't wait to use it for wedding photos. Has a review said the plastic release feels unreliable? I'll say that's how it looks until you press it and notice that the mechanism of the device opens and closes easily. No fighting with others, grabbing or pinching fingers. I think this umbrella is far superior to the average umbrella and great on top of that. Ivory is more of a pale, oily color and I think it's classier than just white. We really hope to use it in wedding photos! Thank you!
