Good training device, suitable for electronic learning toys
My son (2nd grade) doesn't like competitions and doesn't like math very much. Over the summer I needed to make sure he did the bare minimum of math practice, so I bought this math shark. He played with it for 30 minutes as soon as it arrived and then took it with him. After about 2 weeks I challenged him to do one of several tasks, one of which was to do addition and subtraction tests and see how long it would take, which he did. He did it again the next day to compare the results. Now he does two tests every day (one for each skill) trying to beat his own time and I don't persuade him to do any calculations. Goal achieved!
