I've been using this mic for a few weeks now and it sounds great. Another band member has SM58 and they are very similar. For a while we ran our mixer output through a Peavey Bandit 65 and couldn't hear the difference between the two. Our new speaker system has just arrived, and now we can see the difference: the PGA58 picks up all the mic stand noise, while the SM58 cuts out most, although the drums and guitars can't thump in the drums and beats can be heard. In general the difference between the two for my singing and hearing is that if you have a speaker system with good bass the difference sounds like a built in shock absorber on the SM58.
