High quality and useful cable

Bought to transfer photos from Sony a6000 to Galaxy Note 8. Works great. Connect both sides and it will automatically appear as a storage device. Not the fastest at 16MB/s as the a6000 only supports USB 2.0, but much better than WiFi at 2MB/s or less which also blocks your phone from accessing the internet and doesn't allow the Sony app to be used in background mode can, so your phone is basically a paperweight when it's going wireless. You can't even transfer raw files or videos with the Sony app, so anything on the SD card is fair game with this cable. It even charges your camera from your phone if your phone supports it. You must keep the camera on for it to recognize the storage device. I used to have to open the battery compartment, remove the SD card, insert it into a USB memory card reader, connect the adapter, and then plug everything into the device. My phone and adapter were large, loose and unreliable so obviously it was very fiddly and prone to wear and tear. I can't even do it with my new phone case because the adapter is so wide. This simplifies the process to a single cable between two ports. To be fair, using a dedicated direct-connect card reader allows for USB 3.0 speeds if your devices support it, and I can get 90MB/s that way, which is perfect for high bitrate video, but it's a good one Mid-way where you don't SD doesn't need to be touched at all. The cable itself is thin but well made so it's not bulky at all. There is no such thing as loose, fluffy weaving. The body is also metal at the ends and feels cool to the touch, but has a very low profile and is easy to insert and attach. I paid $5 for the 4ft GOLD version. The color makes it easier to find, and I don't pay double for frankly ugly cables from the same line, especially the garishly striped ones.
