Review on Timbertech AS186 Mini Airbrush Compressor with 3L Tank and Regulator: High-Performance Oil-Free Compressor for Hobby, Cake Decoration, Tattooing, and Graphics by Michelle Langley

It meets or exceeds the specified specifications.

This is a very nice little portable compressor and canister. The manufacturer (in the Netherlands) recommends it for use with airbrushes etc. and advises against using it for other purposes. I don't airbrush. I bought it with the intention of using it for one of those "other" outdated apps. I'm very happy and satisfied with the results I'm getting. I wanted to find an air compressor with a small storage tank that was lightweight, easy to carry and move, and had enough storage space to use as a blower for small engineering and office jobs. I attached a cheap air hose designed for use with an airbrush and an industrial blower handle with a lever valve and fitted a small nozzle with a restricted hose onto this blower. It works great as a lightweight duster. I use it to blow off particles and cleaning liquids from glass optics and other technical items. Constantly spraying air will drop it sharply, but just waiting a minute for the attached tank to repressurize will bring it back to life and be ready. Very quiet in operation. This compressor/tank is much better than using compressed refrigerant cans to remove dust. They "quickly give up" once their insides have cooled, and that's fast! I highly recommend this unit for small and light dust removal jobs as long as you have the right nozzle and valve block.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
