I am a bird photographer and I use this product 2-6 times a week. I keep the Better Beamer connected to my camera at all times and use it about 60% of the time. Extremely useful for backlit and low light subjects. I use it in the camera's manual mode and manual ISO, then light the subject in 2 stages and let the flash adjust the light based on the flash duration. Ideal for hummingbirds in the early morning and evening hours. it freezes wings and other movements. The downside is the bulkiness of the device and its fragility. I catch and yank the plastic lens onto my hand even though I'm carrying the camera on my back. Even on hot days, the glue that holds the Velcro to the glass softens and peels off. I solved this problem by using small paperclips on the four corners. It does not significantly affect the light. Despite these shortcomings, it is very useful! The parrot's photo was taken after sunset at an altitude of 100 feet.
