I use a loom and it's nice to have something to slip on and off the pins even with my working yarn around the pin. However, the color options and quantity are good. This makes it easy to pick a color that contrasts strongly with the yarn so I don't miss the mark and lose the mark. It works great on most looms, with the exception of the Zippy Loom, and is also great for projects done with a hook or needles. Finally, there is a plastic case that I recommend buying. It fits snugly in the bottom of my project bag and is fairly flat so it doesn't snag on my work, yarn, loom or tools. When needed, I use it to shoot a project early and save it for later. Because such a pin is slightly thicker, the hole remains large enough to be put back into the loom, even if the loops are somehow tightened. I only give 4 stars for the "ease of use" because the plastic is somewhat resistant to opening due to its thickness compared to thin wire stitch markers. This is good for security as they will never accidentally fall out of my project. But of course it's a bit annoying when I have to open 85 of them to continue my project lol.
