Nintendo had a great idea and marketing strategy to make NES and SNES games available for purchase and download on the Wii Virtual Console. You can play these games with the Game Cube controller, but it's very difficult since it's for the Game Cube and not the SNES. As for the NES, they might make the game available with the Wii Remote. For the SNES, you need that classic Wii controller because four buttons were available on that console and you won't find them on the Wii remote. However, not all virtual console games can be played with the Gamecube controller. Unfortunately, if you use the original feel, the gameplay becomes much easier and more fun. They should have just made that controller available with the original system. Downloading games that you have to buy only to find out you want them is a little cruel, but it's a great marketing strategy!
