My mother and I share a love of birds. This necklace is the perfect reminder of that, if not too literal. There are enough lines in it to indicate it's a bird and nothing more - simple and clear. I went for the mother of pearl option for an understated look. Several of her friends have noticed her wearing it and commented on how beautiful it is. she adores him. It comes in a small pouch and the necklace comes in a ziplock pouch with an anti-tarnish patch which I think is a nice little extra. The clasp is open so the necklace was quite knotted when I got it. If this happens to you, lay the chain on the table and *gently* press on the knots to untie them; Then *carefully* use a few pins to expand the knots so you can pull them apart by hand - seriously, *neatly*. It was worth the effort and I will definitely buy it again.
