No true red, but good tints in the set.
There is not a true red in this set. Unfortunate, because in color theory if you have true blue, yellow, and red you can make any color. There are a lot of pre-mixed colors which makes it an easy set to use. But, without those primary colors, not every color is achievable. Beyond that the consistency of this paint is quite thick, chalky and flat (as opposed to gloss). And, they paints are opaque. That being said, adding water to the paint makes them more workable or translucent. A fun set for kids who are ready to move up in paint quality from Crayola paints.
