Review on Experience Serenity with VTech Soothing Ocean Slumber Mobile by Amy Mcleod

We first saw this mobile at my parents' house when we were entertaining my niece and nephews. We decided to buy one and it arrived today. Out of the box, the moving part that connects to the base of the whale didn't work. I read the reviews and saw that this thing was 3 stars, some people like it and others have issues but I realized they must have ironed out their shortcomings by now. I've tried the obvious things. I have replaced the batteries. Nothing will make the mobile phone, the most important part of this device, work. I removed the plug stuck in the whale, and the reason became immediately clear. The wire that controls the mobile and starlight runs through a tube with inserts through which screws are inserted. attach. The screw and its edge completely crushed the wire ribbon. This is really bad design. No wonder so many people struggle with it. When the device works, it's great, as I've seen my parents do. But I would strongly NOT recommend you buy one because given the way the wire goes through the tube, right where the screws go in to put it all together, there's a very good chance you'll end up with a defective one to have. For over 30€ I expected more. Given the way the wire runs through the tube, right there, where the screws go to put it all together, there's a good chance you'll end up with a broken pipe.
