Even a basic appliance like a kettle from the SMEG brand is guaranteed to be of the highest quality. Upon first use, the kettle's lid did not open smoothly, necessitating a hefty push on the button. Swapped out for a new one. On day one, the water level indication on the second kettle started leaking. I will give you back your money and refuse to ever buy SMEG anything again. It's incredible that you can make a profit off of such a low-quality item.
