Review on GIGABYTE G32QC Monitor: 165Hz 1440P Curved Screen with FreeSync, Height & Tilt Adjustment, Blue Light Filter - G32QC A-SA by Mike Washington

The best monitor I've ever had.

I added my settings to both Nvidia graphics card color settings and monitor settings. Many reviewers say this monitor is gray instead of black. I upgraded my monitor before spending a lot of time trying to look the way I want it to. The black color in Destiny 2 is beautiful and black. This is a va monitor and it is very impressive when you come from a sony 4k monitor. I plug in a displayport cable to get about 10 fps more when gaming. I set the graphics card's digital vibration higher because Displayport 1.2 doesn't support HDR, so my settings increase the vibration to make the colors look more like HDR. The monitor has black stabilizer settings that brighten black areas for games like Call of Duty, where characters hide in the shadows and hide behind you so you can't see them. So turn up the black stabilizer to lighten up areas where enemies are visible to what the LG monitor is doing. I had to set a custom setting of 2560 x 1440 @ 165Hz on the graphics card because Windows 10 doesn't recognize the monitor and doesn't show that setting over the display port. HDMI is recognized by Windows, so the settings are there if you choose HDMI. This monitor can get very bright, my settings are a bit too bright at times, but I'd rather turn down the game's brightness than fiddle with the settings. In my opinion, it outperforms my 4K Sony monitor in every way. It responds perfectly to both keyboard and mouse, as well as the controller. I'm definitely impressed with what Gigabyte has done with this VA monitor and I think I'll stick with Gigabyte from now on. I will enjoy this monitor for years. OK, another update. I changed some graphics card settings. The contrast is 90 percent and the digital vibration is 77 and now my monitor looks the same as my Sony Bravia x900e. I love this monitor, I think I'll leave my settings where they are and use it that way. Also, the Stadia site was running at 4k 60 yesterday, which was great. Latest photos posted. The last 4 images, starting with the gun and going to the right, are the new shots.
