Review on TOMSOO Dimmable Magnifying Lamp Clamp by Tiffany Allan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT little light!

Well I'm a craftsman (luthier) and spend a lot of time on very detailed inlays and such. I always feel like I don't have enough light or there is no light where I need it. This little darling solved that problem. I ditched the extra clamp and just drilled a few holes in my workbench so I could move the flashlight to where it was most convenient in seconds. The variable control goes from zero light to VERY bright. The loupe is smaller than I could have chosen, but it's real glass and very clear - it does the job and, with good magnification, is big enough to work underneath without being hit by the light from my tools is a really BIG plus. The light stays in place at every angle and is smaller than some of the larger ones that get in the way when not in use. There are better lamps, 2-3 times more expensive, with fancy colors and such, but that's all I'll ever need. A graphic artist might need all of these color ranges, but for normal people, even me, adjustable white light is enough. Two thumbs up! Update: I found after a while that the plug is cheap and slips out of the socket very easily. I had to plug it into an extension cord to make it glow. When I get a chance I will replace the fork with a better one. Not enough for me to downgrade my rating from 5 stars.
